We are academics from many different institutions who promote research on and practice of “Extensive Reading” for language learning (especially 2nd language learning) and share findings at a conference every two years in some place in the world. Previous conferences have been in Kyoto, Japan, Seoul, Korea, Dubai, UAE and this 4th conference will be held in Tokyo, Japan. We are seeking an attractive design for a logo that would reflect the Congress’s focus, on “Extensive Reading” as well as an element of Japan or Tokyo. The logo, however, should not contain allusions to the national flag, Mt. Fuji or traditional kimonos.

The basic shape may be either round or square. The primary colors should be red (#c60e0e) and white to match the Congress theme. Other colors may also be used. The logo will replace the ERF logo currently in place on http://erfoundation.org/erwc4/. We promote research about Extensive Reading (ER) which means reading a lot of relatively easy books to learn a language. 

We would like 2 vector file formats: eps (and adobe illustrator CS6 if possible), as well as some rasters such as jpeg, tiff and png.
