Company name: Wilson Center for Innovation and Leadership
What we do:
Grinnell College has long been an incubator for leaders and innovators by educating students in the liberal arts through free inquiry and the open exchange of ideas. The Wilson Center works to further catalyze leadership and innovation among our students through complementary coursework, personal experiences, and event programming that inspires them and prepares them to leverage their liberal arts education into success as leaders and innovators. We sponsor curricular and co-curricular programming that:
Develops Knowledge: enhances a critical understanding of the key traits of leadership and innovation and how success in these areas is affected by social & historical contexts.
Encourages Practice: creates opportunities both on and off-campus for students to develop and practice skills critical to leadership and innovation.
Inspires Action: motivates students to embrace the challenges of innovation and leadership.
Promotes Reflection: assists students in recognizing their own aptitudes and interests for leadership and innovation.
Reveals Synergies: helps students to recognize the common traits between their liberal arts education and leadership and innovation.
Provides Mentorship and Modeling: introduces students to successful leaders and innovators, with particular attention to our own alumni.
We seek to engage students from different areas of study and diverse backgrounds for one common purpose: to inspire and prepare students as innovators and leaders.

Our Ideas and Additional Information:
Our logo is primarily to establish a consistent brand in advertising events. The primary target is on campus, and it will be used in posters and media communications. Examples of the kinds of events we put on and the advertising we do can be found on our website, which includes our Facebook feed. We have been trying to use a consistent font in our name (Maiandra GD), but we are open to alternatives that work better with a proposed logo. The full name of our center is the Donald and Winifred Wilson Center for Innovation and Leadership.
