NWR is a non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and returns to the wild native wildlife and migratory birds. Our animals are native to Nebraska, and we care for more than 7000 animals each year. We also provide wildlife education to students and assist the public with thousands of animal rescue and nuisance issues each year.

We would like a simple, clean logo that can be standalone - one that people will recognize as ours even if the words/name of our organization is not included. We would like the animals to be native to Nebraska only, and either to be realistic (true-to-form) or abstract. We do not want wildlife that doesn't look like what it is. We love colors that are found in nature. We do not want emblems/shields nor do we want logos that are too complicated.

Our Ideas and Additional Information:
We would like a logo that depicts at least one mammal and one bird, and potentially one reptile (reptile is less important). Any animals should be native to Nebraska. Examples:
Mammals: Red fox, raccoon, Virginia opossum
Birds: Western meadowlark, Sandhill Crane, cardinal
Reptiles: painted turtle, ornate box turtle
We'd like it to be a clean logo that will stand the test of time, but is also interesting. We'd like a logo that will be able to be modified for special events/ocassions by adding a tag line or banner.

Hello Everyone! Thank you so much for your entries! We are so pleased with what we are seeing. Once the contest closes tomorrow, we will narrow the list some more as we are going to let our constituency vote on the final design. We will make our choice at the end of the judging period, in 7 days. We might take one or more of your variations "out of the running" to simplify voting during this time, keeping only one version of a logo up for voting. Please note that we might bring those variations back later in the judging period, so just because it isn't currently ranked doesn't mean it won't be later. We appreciate your time and talent!
