We are a firm of 12 lawyers founded in 1953, offering a wide range of legal services. We have many clients who have been clients for 30+ years. We pride ourselves on the quality of our legal services, the professionalism and dedication of our lawyers and staff, and on the effective results we achieve for our clients.
Our industry: Legal
Top Three Things to Communicate through our Logo:
#1 - Professionalism
#2 - Reliability and Trustworthiness
#3 - Dedication
Our Target Market:
Red Deer is the heart of the oil and gas service sector in Alberta, and a growing city. Most of our marketing efforts focus on young adults (25-35) who are either buying their first home or starting up small businesses. At the same time, we have to be careful not to alienate our older clientele. We also want to have an image that conveys trustworthiness in the hopes of attracting clients directly and through referrals from other law firms.
Styles that we are interested in:
Abstract Mark
Wordmark
Color preferences:
Black, Blue, Red (preferably no more than 2 colours; must look good in black & white/grey scale as it will be used on letterhead printed in B&W).
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
We want to create a logo or image that could be revised in the event of a change in the firm's name. For example, it would be best to avoid relying on a stylized "J" for visual impact as "Johnston" may not remain a part of the name forever. We are thinking of something with a bold, clean, and distinctive (I know...pick 2!) font, probably in conjunction with some other visual element that could work just as well with "Manning Rickards LLP" as it does with "Johnston Ming Manning LLP." Also, it is common in our industry to have the "LLP" in a smaller font (sometimes as a superscript).
