Logo contest: Ensemble 212

What we do:

Ensemble 212’s mission is to propel the careers of young professional musicians as they develop into the finest performing artists of their generation. By bringing outstanding musicians together to perform at the highest level, Ensemble 212 plays a crucial role in creating new opportunities for New York’s emerging instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers.

We are not so much "entertainment" although we are but more of a non-profit classical music performing arts organization. Age: We seek to appeal to a younger generation (18 to 45). Sex: both. Location: We seek to attract urban metropolitan concert goers (primarily New York City) with an appreciation of the arts. People who would enjoy attending operas, museums, ballet, modern dance etc. Income: middle class to upper class. Occupation: no specific target. Industry: performing arts, classical music, symphony orchestras. Interests/Lifestyle/Values: arts related.

Any standard colors are fine but preferably not too many different colors as it makes printing more complicated. no fluorescent or overly bright colors such as pink or peach please.

Our website is www.ensemble212.org. Please see the attached files as examples of other organizations similar to ours and logo designs I like. Some other ideas I had were to use a 5 line musical staff in the design but it is not necessary. We are looking to use our new logo not only on websites but everything: concert programs, CDs/DVDs, t-shirts, other promotional materials, etc. Also, please use standard ratio sizes no unusual ratios as this makes it difficult to submit to other websites and also to print. Regarding fonts, we tend to use Century Gothic, Verdana and Candara fonts so using those or something similar might be nice but I am open to your own font design as well so please don't limit yourself to those fonts. I have also attached some of our promotional materials such as flyers where the logo will go.
