Logo contest: BRIAR LLC

What we do:

Boeuf River Industrial Automation Resources, LLC (briar-llc.com) is a service company providing configuration design and programming of electronic control systems in manufacturing facilities and chemical plants. This includes everything from robot arms to single loop controls to remote site distributed control systems. Our primary "off the shelf" sources of equipment are Honeywell, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, and Emerson Process Controls.

For the most part, our clients are male, college-educated engineers and IT professionals who are directly employed by manufacturing facilities to provide upgrades and/or maintenance support for the site's production equipment. The production managers (who often have input on which consultants are used) are generally blue-collar workers with high school educations who've worked their way up from entry-level union positions to management-level responsibilities. Most projects request work that is Good, Fast and Cheap, but the commonly held axiom is that the client is normally allowed to only select two of the three.

We have no specific preferences for colors, but please avoid lime green.

The company name was chosen primarily because it can be abbreviated as "BRIAR LLC", and only secondarily due to our office's proximity to the Boeuf River. The winning design will almost certainly incorporate the word, "BRIAR," or some easily-recognizable reference to it. Attaching the "LLC" is preferred for legal reasons.
