Logo contest: Bermuda Broadcasting Company

What we do:

Bermuda Broadcasting Company is Bermuda's only Television station (one competitor closed down several years ago). Bermuda Broadcasting has been around for more than 70 years, offering two affiliate T.V. Channels (ABC 7 and CBS 9) from the U.S. and three FM Radio Stations: Inspire 105, Ocean 89 and Power 95. Bermuda is located 800 miles off the coast of North Carolina in the Atlantic Ocean and is a British Overseas Territory. We are not part of the Caribbean. Bermuda is a sophisticated market, an insurance and reinsurance powerhouse and a top notch tourist destination due to our gorgeous pink sandy beaches, aqua blue waters and safe, warm environment!. Bermuda Broadcasting plays a major communications/media role for all Bermuda residents.

Please note that we cannot use "BBC" in our logo as we need to differentiate ourselves from the British Broadcasting Corporation who are strongly branded as "BBC".

Hello everyone. We have extended our logo contest because we have not yet found exactly what we want. As a Television and Radio Station, we need a very strong logo to put on our T.V. station that is powerful, yet simple and clean. We would like to use the letters "B B C" (for Bermuda Broadcasting Company) in the logo in a strong, powerful, clear format for T.V. i.e. to view on a television screen. This logo cannot resemble the British Broadcasting Company's logo (BBC) it has to be very different. The colors of blue and gold (Pantone Gold 4495C and Blue Reflex Coated) are our choices. So, please only use these two specific colors in the logo. Please do not submit concepts that are "beachy" or tropical as we do not want to represent Bermuda as an island or as a triangle for the Bermuda Triangle. We need to show the strength and significance of being an important News organization and major T.V. station provider on the island. Please submit logos that you feel would meet this criteria. We need a strong T.V. Logo for our Television Station. One that will stand out very well on our viewers television screens, as well as on other places such as our Television Studio, TV Vans, et al. We do not want to use a Triangle or beach theme. This has to be a separate T.V. I.D. Logo for a broadcasting and News organization, with a seriousness to it. Dark Blue Pantone Blue Reflex and Gold Pantone 4495C is our preference. We need a logo that is unique and powerful as a Broadcasting company.

All Residents and Visitors to Bermuda. All ages, Male, Female. Full time population is approx 65,000 people. Several hundred thousand visitors per year.

Deep Blue and Gold; Deep blue and yellow. Rich colors, no purple or green tones. Would consider Blue and Red. Sophisticated, deep, powerful colors.
