Color preferences:
We are open to any color combination. Black & Red are often associated with exiting sports. However, we would definitely appreciated other color combinations because B&R can sometimes be quite aggressive, and also because it’s a combination already well used in the industry and we would like to stand out.
(Added on 2017-02-22 18:39):
After seeing the first designs... please disregard the comment about Black & Red. We are open to any color combination. Period.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
Paragliding is considered an extreme sport. With the tandem paragliding flights we allow people a taste of this exciting sport. We offer an adrenaline rush but with an emphasis on safety. The logo should express some excitement but should not relate too much to extreme sports either because it might frighten potential customers.
The number one idea that the logo should express is the exhilarating feeling of absolute freedom!
I've added a drawing from a t-shirt we bought in Asia. It captures the essence of paragliding to a tee. (see attachment)
XC paragliding is a commonly used expression in the industry and stands for cross-country paragliding. Xsky paragliding follows similar lines... cross-sky paragliding, we cross the sky. We think that it will be more easily understood if the” X” is a capital letter and “sky” small letters. Or differ from each other in some way?
We do NOT favor a romantic bird-soaring-in-the-sky-above-the-mountains-with-a-sunset-in-the-background type of feeling.
The logo shouldn’t be too busy, too involved. (see attachment)
We very much like the “Paragliding in Cape Town” design! (see attachment)

Please disregard the remarks about capital 'X' and everything that follows. (that's why I also deleted the original attachments)

The LogoArena design community wants you to get the best possible logo for your business.
Please don't focus too much on the winged man idea. That's just ONE idea. We would love to see some abstract paraglider designs as well. We also like the idea of the figure being integrated with the text part or behind the text part. We are not big on italic writing but also love to see some experimenting with different letter types.
Message for designer Niqz65. I invited you to our contest. I hope you accept. There is one logo in your portfolio that I appreciate a lot. I would like to send you a private message before you do any work (that is if you accept the invitation of course). Is that possible?
