Our Ideas and Additional Information:
In traditional woodworking, mortise and tenon joints are secured by putting square wooden pegs into round holes. This is considered to be the strongest and most beautiful joint in woodworking and was the concept that inspired the name of our company. We'd love to build on this concept for the logo, if possible.
Where we will use the Logo:

A mortise and tenon is a square peg in a SQUARE hole, not a round hole. A square peg in a round hole comes from the expression, "That's like trying to put a square peg in a round hole," meaning trying to do something that doesn't fit, that doesn't work. Maybe you should rethink your company name.
Thanks for the input, Victor. If you read in more detail, the mortise and tenon joint is unique in that the square peg goes into a "rounded off" square hole - it makes for a tighter joint. You can also do square to square, but the original joints were done with slightly rounded holes.
Either way, we are a unique construction company that definitely doesn't "fit the mold" of most construction companies. We were trying to make that connection with the Square Peg name. We brought the joint up here in order to make the connection between the look of a mortise and tenon joint with our logo. We do sincerely appreciate your input.
