<p>Medicis is a very innovative app, managed by medical societies, addressed to physicians to gamify continuous medical education. By answering series of multiple choice questions, physicians get progress points to advance in the game and compete with other physicians in rankings or to get badges for success achievements.
They receive also points with value in the real world, like official training credits, and other points called Medicis exchangeable by sponsorships of training activities with cost (like congress inscriptions or medical magazine subscriptions). 
The resources to enable the Medicis sponsorships come by pharmaceutical companies that pay to use the app to train physicians also about their drugs.
Medicis has the dimension of a social network because contents come by user physicians who propose interesting questions (crowdsourcing), and also because the users can identify their colleagues to see their learning progresses or challenge them.</p>
