Here are some helpful tips for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses.

1. Rank design entries daily, this will encourage participation. It is non-monetary means of showing appreciation for the Designers' hard work.
2. The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see (you can do so by clicking on the logo you want to give feedback to). It will also guide the designers in the right direction.
3. Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
4. Designers earn points for top 10 ranked designs. We recommend ranking different designers for top ranks, It encourages more participation.

Thank you for all the designs submitted so far, they look great! For a final design, we will not be able to use anything with a Palm Tree as they do not have palm trees in Ocean City. I really like some of the palm designs, but I know my client will not choose them for his winner. You can still submit them, but we may need to modify them to include a different object then the palm tree.. such as a light house, etc. Thank you! Brett

The designs look great so far. I like the theme that everyone is creating. We would like to see a few logos with the following themes if possible: - Kites - Beach Bucket / Shovel / Sand - Sandcastle - Boardwalk & Ferris Wheel - Advertising Plane with Banner - Silhouette of family walking down the beach.

I just heard back from the client, here are his notes that are very important in picking the winner.

1) He would like to see the following images in his logo (Not all, but he likes these concepts): Lifeguard Boat, Ferris Wheel, Bridge or Boardwalk concept.

2) Logo Colors He expressed he would like to see the logos look less cartoon like, and a little more classic. He also would like the colors of the logos to primarly focus on the same logo colors as his company which is a cabernet and cream color. 3) Here is the lighthouse concept he really likes. This is the local lighthouse. It has a black stripe in the middle of it: http://designsquare1.com/test/kevindecosta/pic2.png

4) Lastly, It is important that "KD" is the large part of his font, then "Kevin Decosta" would be much smaller somewhere in the logo. So please focus on using KD as the primary aspect of the logo.. then Kevin Decosta much smaller.

5) No Palm Trees

Hi everyone,

I spoke with my client, and updated the ranking based on his favorite choices. He provided the following information for some last submissions:

1) Definitely will choose one that has the Cabernet & Cream colors. He also really likes the idea of "KD" being the featured text on the logo.

2) Other ideas he would like to see before making his decision: - A Paddle Boarder incorporated into the logo. - He would also like to see how it may look if "Kevin Decosta" was displayed from the light coming off the lighthouse.
