We are a court reporting business located in Atlanta, GA. We are retained by attorneys to take depositions almost exclusively in civil cases and occasionally will take down cases in a courtroom setting as well.

We will need the logo file not only in the traditional .eps but also a high-res .jpeg and also both of them in B&W and color.
Our industry: Legal
Top Three Things to Communicate through our Logo:
#1 - Service
#2 - Quality
#3 - Strength
Our Target Market:
Our target market 100 percent is the legal community. Our logo will be viewed by lawyers and their support staff, insurance companies, and occasionally others that might look to retain our services. We would like our logo to be more toward the conservative side and not too busy. For those not familiar with court reporting, think in terms of law firms and/or the legal profession.
Styles that we are interested in:
Abstract Mark
Pictorial Mark
Values to communicate:
Feminine
Masculine
Young
Mature
Luxury
Economical
Modern
Classic
Playful
Serious
Loud
Quiet
Simple
Complex
Subtle
Obvious
Color preferences:
We are not sure of the colors but definitely want no more than two to four colors that will accentuate that. Not sure of the colors but they need to be more traditional. In our business we are also trying to emphasize "going green" or paperless or green technology, environmentally friendly; however, that does not necessarily have to be communicated solely in the logo. The logo will have to stand on its own without the D'Amico Gershwin, Inc. Court Reporters and Videoconferencing so incorporating the D and the G are the most important thing.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
While we are open to any design, we also like the logo we have now, which is a takeoff on the Chinese yin/yang symbol. That is due to the fact there is a male and a female partner in the business. While we like the basic concept of our logo, it seems to be a little flat. We think adding some color to it and also some depth and dimension (maybe convex or 3D?) might give it the update we are looking for. We want it to pop a little instead of "laying flat" on the page. Currently it uses the Broadway font but we don't care about that. It just worked well with the symbol.
Also, we want the logo to be able to sit on a background kind of like the DG logo here: www.DickensonGilroy.com.
