Hopefully we can get a few more entries here. The lector was a person who read to, educated and informed those he worked for. I'm not sure how, but is there some way to show that off in a visual form? I'd like our logo to show that we are a credible, professional news and educational source. Some sort of abstract symbol may also be an option, if it somehow incorprates cigars or news or some of the other ideas...

Our main demographic is males aged 18 - 55, however, their is small but growing female demographic increasing nearly 5x in the last few years. What our demographic and logo can NEVER portray is something that is appealing to minors.

Logo should be fairly minimal / simple. Looking for something something that portrays both professional and classic. Artist can incorporate creatively as needed with other colors. Please ensure the logo will work equally as well on a dark/ black background as it does on a white background.

Our Ideas and Additional Information:
The name Cigar Lector comes from the traditional Cuban cigar factory. In the factory the workers paid a "Lector" to read the news, books, stories, etc... to keep the cigar rollers entertained and also to help educate them while they worked.
Our original idea was to use a human figure or head "shouting" or talking as a logo. However, please feel free to explore other ideas. We like to smoke cigars and write about them, we aren't the most creative in the world, so please run with it.

I think these first couple logos hit the nail on the head and are a pretty literal translation of the site into a logo. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple different ideas, maybe also play with something a bit different, maybe a bit of a more modern or abstract approach.
