Our Ideas and Additional Information:

Looking for an abstract mark and text that says Techno West. Would like to be able to separate the text from the abstract mark if desired. That is, the text is not imbedded inside the mark. A metaphor could be a spray pattern, such as a mist coming out of a spray gun that could be worked into the abstract mark. We like the creative use of negative space (Fedex, Kolner Zoo, etc.) and/or hidden shapes that properly communicate the company's brand (example: Tostitos logo).

Rank design entries daily, this will encourage participation. It is non-monetary means of showing appreciation for the Designers' hard work. The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see (you can do so by clicking on the logo you want to give feedback to). It will also guide the designers in the right direction. Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation. Designers earn points for top 10 ranked designs. We recommend ranking different designers for top ranks, It encourages more participation. TechnoWest United States Contest holder	February 7th, 2012, 12:32pm Thank you for your entries. We would like to see the negative space hide our tools of the trade (paint spray guns, etc.). Don't emphasize steel in the logos as we are commercial painters. We paint the steel and other surfaces on large scale projects. From blimp hangars to offshore oil platforms to freeway underpasses. We do it all.

TechnoWest United States Contest holder	February 9th, 2012, 12:25pm We really want to encourage the use of imagery in negative space. Logo's like #11 and #17 are good because we can separate them away for the words Techno West. However the arrow in the FEDEX logo and the people in the Tostitos logo are what we are looking for regarding subtle imagery. You can also try a nice abstract art piece as a stand alone logo.
